About Me

What would you want to know?  What should I tell you?

I was born in Southern Indiana.  I grew up in Central Illinois.  As an adult I lived in East Tennessee for 10 years and got two degrees while I was there: Bachelor of Science in Organizational Management and a Master of Education (Counseling Emphasis).
I now live in Northeast Ohio and work in the field of education asmy day (real) job.  For fun, and maybe someday money, I do web and graphic design and I am a bit of a fiber artist.

I have worked in food service (if you want to call Mickey D's and DQ food), collections, Yellow Page advertising, direct marketing, electronics, tape librarian, construction, database marketing, contract administration, IT, energy, education, accounting, retail, purchasing, manufacturing, web design and politics.  I feel fortunate to have done a lot of different things.

I enjoy music, history, anthropology, people watching, politics, spirituality, intelligent discussion, humor, old movies, stuff that makes me think, sing, move, or smile.

Wanna know that freaky kinda stuff?  I am a double Capricorn, but don't feel like one most of the time.  There is a big huge Grand Trine in the middle of my chart.  Maybe I'll post it here one day.  My life number is five, or the Hierophant if you want  the Tarot complement.  My elements are earth and fire.  I like to work with the moon phases.  In Chinese Astrology I am a Monkey.  I see 11:11 and other 'derivatives' many times a day.  I am an ordained minister in the State of Ohio but I am not practicing.

Always been attracted to the otherworld type of stuff.  But, I do not practice any religion because frankly, I think religion is of man, not divine, and has caused way too much harm and death in this world.  But I am a divine and spiritual creature.

In my teens I studied tarot and palmistry.  I was an evangelical Christian for 20 years until I saw the light.  After Christianity I returned to my more pagan roots and reconnected with mySelf.  Then I started studying all sorts of religion.  From that I took away some commonalities that I call Universal Laws.  These seem to be found in all cultures and religions...like some variation of the Golden Rule is everywhere.  See Wiccan Rede for another example.

My DNA is mostly Irish and a bit Cherokee.  There's underdog, wisdom, fight, and magic in my blood.  When I was a small child I didn't understand being told I had an old soul.  I've heard it all of my life.  Took me a long time to appreciate it.

I've been married a few times, I'm not married now, and I am extremely happy about it.  It's very emancipating to not have to worry about anyone but me for a change.  Well, there is my cat, but my cat doesn't care if I don't pick up after myself or if I sing too loudly.  Know what I mean?  I have two children, both grown men.  One is a chef in Florida and the other is an entrepreneur in Ohio.

I am an Independent voter.  I am not beholden to any political party but I follow politics closely.  I did work on a presidential campaign for a Democratic candidate once but that turned out to be a lesson in reality.  The parties...they are all the same.  The candidates...all the same.  Look, it takes a special kind of egomaniac to even THINK they could be president, let alone to actually run for office.  If you believe for one minute that those folks running for president care about this country or its citizens then you are delusional.  They care about themselves, power, money, fame, notoriety, and their legacy.  I sure hope they let Ralph Nader into the debates.  It is critical for this country to move forward. We have to hear honest and truth filled facts. He is the only one to keep them honest....if that can be done.  Our two main parties are so corrupt and out of touch ... it is so sad.

I'm pretty middle everything.  Middle class.  Middle aged.  Moderate voter.  I am very average.

I was raised by two exceptional people.  Everything that is good about me is because of them.  My dad has the greatest integrity of anyone I know or have ever read about.  He walks his talk.  I am strong and independent because of him.  I am so many things because of mom.  I am not sure where to begin or end.  She is still teaching me to believe in myself.  I am fearless and outspoken because of her.  I fight for the oppressed and abused because of her.  I love animals because of both of them.  I'm sure I'll write more about them as things come up.

I have a very cool brother too-who has a wonderful family.  We never fought as kids.  We did plot together though.  We had a great childhood and I'm very thankful for it.  He is teaching me to appreciate life, to bitch about my little problems less, and the
importance of my family.  I feel very fortunate to have the family and friends that I have had throughout my life.

Basically, I am an average American who is sick and tired of the governing class, media elites and pundits, and the corporate plantations destroying my country.  I am tired of feeling helpless to do anything to stop their destruction.  So I guess as a balm to my own person I am going to write about this.  I do not expect those entities to care
about or report what people like me write or how their greed is effecting me and my family and friends.  They don't care and to report about their own darkness would be cannibalistic.  They are soulless bastards who care only for themselves.   I am beginning to face the fact that these people are my enemies.  Time to use some new weaponry against them.  Words, dollars, and shunning.  If a blow hard pundit is speaking on the television and no one is listening does he still make a sound?

Speak out, stop spending and turn it off!  It's that simple.

I think that's about it.  Now you know a little about where I'm coming from.  Dig it?
